Who We Are

First Fire Ministries International may be a newly formed organization, but the ministry behind it is anything but new. Our team has served in Christian ministries for more than 20 years — preaching the Gospel, strengthening churches, and helping families across multiple nations. FFMI is simply the next step in a lifetime calling to reach the hurting and support frontline leaders in Uganda, drc, Liberia, Kenya, and Pakistan.

Our Purpose

FFMI exists to support vulnerable communities, empower local leaders, and advance the Gospel through practical, compassionate action. We partner directly with pastors, families, and villages in Uganda, DRC, Liberia, Kenya, and Pakistan, building relationships that bring real change.

As a donor, you can be confident that every resource placed in our hands will only go to vetted, responsible partners. Our goal is not merely to meet immediate needs but to create sustainable solutions that help our candidates become stable, self-supporting, and spiritually strengthened.

We envision the day when orphanage leaders have their own land, caregivers have a consistent income that sustains their work, and struggling pastors can provide for their families through new opportunities created by community investment.

Practical examples of this include helping secure land that can be farmed for food and cash crops, providing clean well water for daily living, or supporting small livestock projects such as chickens or pigs that generate food and income.

Our Background

Our lives have been devoted to helping pastors, evangelists, and church planters. Throughout that time, we’ve helped develop new congregations, assisted in major building projects, and supported music, youth, and district-level ministries within large church organizations.

Our work in home missions across North America, combined with long-standing support of foreign missions, has given us a grounded understanding of the real needs communities face globally.

In June of 2025 we committed fully to help struggling ministries and impoverished families. Having operated under 501(c)(3) accountability standards for years, we value integrity, transparency, and responsible stewardship. We believe every season we have come through has prepared us for this moment and for the work of First Fire Ministries International.

Michael D. Treadway

Michael helps guide the vision and day-to-day leadership of FFMI, working directly with pastors, caregivers and local partners across Uganda, DRC, Liberia, Kenya, and Pakistan.

He manages operations, project planning, and the development of long-term outreach initiatives focused on orphans, water projects, and community church support. His passion comes from a lifelong desire to build something that genuinely impacts people who have been forgotten or overlooked.

He believes missions should be practical, transparent, and rooted in compassion. When he isn’t coordinating trips or building resources, he’s creating content that helps others grow and lead.

Lana K. Treadway

Lana brings stability, organization, and heartfelt compassion to the core of FFMI. Driven by a passion to see lives healed and restored, She helps coordinate the ministry’s initiatives and supports those it serves through prayer, biblical teaching, and temperament studies.

Her insight and care empower individuals and couples to uncover their strengths and grow into their full potential—both in their relationships and in service to God’s Kingdom. Lana plays a vital role in shaping the ministry’s culture of kindness, humility, and integrity.

When not involved in mission planning, she devotes her time to family, mentoring young women, and developing creative children’s programs that blend Scripture with engaging music lessons.

Mikaylen E. Treadway

Mikaylen represents the younger voice of FFMI and brings a fresh, grounded perspective to the mission. She assists with social updates, media content, and creative projects that help spread awareness about the work happening around the world.

Her heart for children, especially those facing hardship, drives her involvement and gives the ministry a generational sense of purpose. She reminds FFMI that this work is not just for today but for the future. Outside of missions, she works as a journal mentor, loves travel and sharing time with her friends.
