A large number of children grow up without parents. Many have lost them to disease, poverty, or social crises.
Institutional orphanages care for only a small fraction of vulnerable children, meaning many are largely unprotected or neglected.
Nutrition insecurity and poverty put children at risk of malnutrition, illness, and disrupted schooling, especially young children and orphans.
Ministries and charities that feed, shelter, educate, or support orphans and vulnerable children can make a real difference.
